Trump acusa a Irán de décadas de engaño, critica las políticas de la era Obama en un post de Truth Social y dice que Teherán "ya no se reirá más".
El presidente estadounidense, Donald Trump, acusó el domingo a Irán de “jugar” con Estados Unidos y el mundo durante 47 años, al tiempo que criticó duramente la gestión del expresidente Barack Obama de las relaciones con la República Islámica.
En una publicación en Truth Social, Trump escribió que Irán había retrasado las negociaciones con Estados Unidos y “el resto del mundo” durante décadas antes de supuestamente beneficiarse de las políticas de la administración Obama.
“No sólo fue bueno con ellos, fue grandioso, realmente se puso de su lado, desechando a Israel y a todos los demás aliados, y dándole a Irán una importante y muy poderosa nueva oportunidad de vida”, escribió Trump sobre Obama.
Trump afirmó que Irán recibió “cientos de miles de millones de dólares” de Estados Unidos, incluidos “1,7 mil millones de dólares en efectivo verde, enviados por avión a Teherán”. Añadió que el dinero “les fue entregado en bandeja de plata” y alegó que llegó “en maletas y carteras”.
“Nunca habían visto dinero como este, y nunca lo volverán a ver”, afirmó Trump, y agregó que los funcionarios iraníes “finalmente encontraron al mayor TONTO de todos, en la forma de un presidente estadounidense débil y estúpido”.
El presidente también acusó a Irán de matar a estadounidenses con bombas al borde de las carreteras, reprimir protestas y “acabar con 42.000 manifestantes inocentes y desarmados”. Concluyó la publicación declarando: “¡Ya no se reirán más!”

Earlier in the day, Trump told Full Measure that Iran has been “militarily defeated,” while cautioning that the conflict may not yet be over.
“Well, they’re militarily defeated. In their own minds, maybe they don’t know that. But I think they do because I deal with them,” Trump said.
“And we cannot ever let Iran have a nuclear weapon,” he added. “But they are militarily defeated. They have no Navy. They have no Air Force. They have no anti-aircraft weaponry. They have no radar.”

Trump also claimed that Iran’s leadership had been severely weakened.
“They have no leaders. Their leaders are gone. The first set, the A team is gone, the B team is gone, and part of the C team is gone,” he stated.
Pressed on whether the conflict had ended, Trump replied, “No, I didn’t say that. I said they are defeated, but that doesn’t mean they are done.” He added, “We could go in for two more weeks and do every single target.”
Trump repeatedly stressed that Iran cannot be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.
“We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon because they’re crazy. We cannot let them have access to nuclear,” he said.
He also defended his decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear agreement reached during the Obama administration.
“If I didn’t terminate the Iran nuclear deal, they would have had it. And they would have used it on Israel and the Middle East right now,” Trump asserted.
